About Fabulistas

Before kids, Kara was the sort of gal who backpacked around Europe in heels (true story), rocked tiny hats and really big bows (sometimes at the same time), and liked to think she was always up for an adventure.

After kids, she wore yoga pants. Lots and lots of yoga pants. And worked on creating a permanent indent in her couch. She succeeded.

In an effort to get her groove back, she started the lifestyle blog Fabulistas, where she features glittery fabulousness for moms and their kids, brings adventure back into her life with the Fun Project, and generally makes other parents feel better about their housekeeping skills.

She also creates posters over on Etsy that look great in your house. And your friends’ houses. And even that stalker-y neighbor guy’s house because, weirdly enough, he seems to have excellent taste when it comes to decorating.

About Kara

Kara used to blog, obsess, and talk (pretty much non-stop) about anything and everything wedding-related. Then she had a baby. Now she exerts that same amount of enthusiasm towards… Wait, what were we talking about? I feel like it had something to do with kids? And, maybe…blogging? Oh right! Ahem. Now (on days when her brain decides to come to work) she writes about cool finds for kids, glitter-y fabulousness for moms, and squeezing interesting and fun moments into her jam-packed to do list, which always seems to feature some version of “clean the kitchen.” (How is that even possible?)

She lives in San Francisco with her husband and daughter where she occasionally helps businesses build their social media presence, lies around thinking of sayings that can live on posters and is in training for the Reading Olympics (oh, it’s coming and I will crush you with my mad reading skills!).
